Sitges is a locality in the province of Barcelona, located along the Mediterrenean shores, where tourism is a fountain of life and richness. It is the preferred destination along the catalonian coast. It's population is a little over 26,000 inhabitants.

Sitges is a small cozy city along the Coast of Barcelona, a locality belonging to the Mediterrenean Sea that brings tourists here because of it's lovely beaches, bars, restaurants, disco's, it's 3 marinas, leisure areas, numerous apartments, villas, chalets, hotels, hostels, houses to rent while on holiday.

If we begin to speak about it's beaches, Sitges has more than 30 beaches and coves where you can rest and relax under the sun. Your holidays can be spent in urban beaches, highly frequented beaches with all types of equipment and services for tourists, in semi urban beaches, isolated beaches where the tranquillity will be the main characteristics as well as little to know equipment, and nudist beaches.

On the other hand the gastronomic offer in Sitges is also very complete. It has restaurants specialized in catalonian cuisine, international cuisine, italian cuisine, japonese, chinese and asian in general, french restaurants etc...Last but not least restaurants specialized in fish and seafood.

We must not forget that Sitges is much more than beaches, a good table, sun and accomodation. Sitges also has monuments like that of the Church of Saint Barthalomue, and Santa Tecla, as well as the many festivals important on the contintent, such as the Fantastic Film Festival of Sitges, that walks and stands on firm ground going on 40 years now.
