The Fantastic Film Festival

The Fantastic Film Festival has been celebrated for 40 years and is always done in the fall. It is without a doubt, the most important Film Festival of this genre in the world. Definately a spot where all main actors, directors and producers of this type of this genre of film want to be.

Carnival

The carnival in Sitges is celebrated every year between the months of February and March. It is a carnival that has been going on for 100 years. This festival begins with "jueves Lardero" meaning fatty thursday due to the meals of eggs and pork that day. From there is the burial of the sardine and the rythm is spectacular. Children's parades, dances, live shows and lots of fun are th main ingredients of this pagan festivity.

Rallye

An important tourist date is celebrated between Sitges and Barcelona in Rallye. It is celebrated every year. It all started in 1959 initially by a group of neighbors. In consists in covering the distance from Sitges to Barcelona in antique automobiles. This event is usually celebrated in teh spring, and considered an event of tourist interest.

The Retiro Theatre or Prado Casino in Sitges are also cultural centers where you can go see plays, jazz concerts etc...
